History
Through
a series of circumstances and events, the Bugbee family
purchased the Stone Gate Lodge Resort on Lake Koronis on June 1,
2005.
"The purchase of Stone Gate Lodge was an opportunity we just couldn't pass up," reports Paul Bugbee, owner and operator of Bugbee Hive Resort. "With sixteen summer, housekeeping cottages, we felt that Stone Gate would be a nice fit with our operation at the Hive," he added.
Stone Gate Lodge is the oldest resort on Lake Koronis, with its first vacationers recorded in 1905. In addition to one, two, and three bedroom cottages and a six bedroom, 3 bath reunion house, the resort has a nice outdoor swimming pool, kids playground, boat, motor and pontoon rentals, and large spacious grounds for recreation and relaxation.
Stone Gate Lodge caters nicely to family vacationers and
people who love to fish. It is open between May 1st and October
16th.
